Founder, CEO and Managing Partner
Bob runs a family office that specializes in real estate investment with multiple business strategies. Under Bob’s leadership, the Champion platform has generated in excess of a 20 annual return (XIRR) to its investors over the past 20 years. Bob has a Master’s of Real Estate Development from USC where he also taught real estate investment, development, and urban planning for over 16 years. Bob is a nationally recognized speaker and has published numerous articles on real estate, the economy, and public policy. He has developed and invested in major real estate product types and completed over $1 billion in transactions.
Parker runs the daily operations while heading Champion's high yield and value add cash flow investment activities. He holds a California Real Estate Broker's license plus a Bachelor of Science in Policy, Planning and Development and a Master in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the University of Southern California Los Angeles alumni network, the National Multi-family Housing Council, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Business partner to Bob Champion since 1985, Chris heads retail investment activities. He is a founder and Chairman of Wilson Retail Group, the largest independent real estate brokerage firm focused on the retail sector in Southern California. Chris graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and received a Master in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He holds a California Department of Real Estate Broker license and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Joining Champion in 2005, Greg runs the multi-family and mixed-use development activities. He is currently entitling and developing three mid-rise apartment projects and one high-rise luxury mixed-use project in core Southern California submarkets. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.
Garrett joined the team in 2013 and heads the for-sale urban infill residential development activities consisting of small lot detached, townhome and condominium development. He is a graduate of the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and received a Bachelor of Arts in History. Garrett is an active participant with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the Hawai’i Alumni Association and the Urban Land Institute. He is an MBA candidate at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business (2019).
Capital Markets & Investor Relations
Greg was hired in 2015 to head Champion’s equity capital markets and investor relations activities. Prior to his current tenure, Greg held positions with Moss Adams Capital, IHP Capital Partners and Credit Suisse First Boston. Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Art History from Stanford University and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. Greg is an active member of Stanford Professionals in Real Estate, UCLA Real Estate Alumni Group and the Urban Land Institute.
Allison joined Champion in 2010 and serves as their Asset Manager, she is currently responsible for managing the Company's real estate investment portfolio. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Allison is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, earned a CPM designation, and holds an active California Real Estate license.
Vice President, Administration
Patti is an original Champion employee and has been with the organization for 25 years. Currently managing human resources, she has served in multiple capacities including controller, leasing agent, property manager, and joint venture and escrow liaison. Patti is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, a CPM candidate and a licensed notary public. She oversees operations, financial reporting and accounting, investor relations - all within the broad scope of the Company's real estate development and investment activity.
Chief Financial Officer/General Counsel
Champion's Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel, David has been with the Company since 2004. His real estate experience spans 30 + years as a developer, asset manager, CPA and attorney. He has provided a diversity of legal, financial, tax, development and investment services to companies such as Ernst & Young, General Growth and Universal Studios. David graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration and earned his JD from Wayne State University Law School.
Certified Public Accountant
As in-house auditor, Taryn prepares the financial reporting for investors. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she specialized in the real estate industry. After public accounting, she worked for Westfield Corporation as a Senior Analyst in their Leasing Finance and Business Improvement groups and later was a controller for Marquis Property Company. Taryn received her undergraduate degree from UCLA with a major in Business-Economics and a minor in Accounting. She earned her MBA from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA.
Associate, Multifamily Acquisitions
Ariya is the acquisitions associate within Champion’s Multifamily High Yield & Value Add platform. Prior to joining Champion, Ariya held positions with Wells Fargo in Los Angeles and Bay Equity in San Diego. Ariya graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and holds a California Real Estate License.
Associate, Acquisitions & Development
Cole works in the Urban Infill Division, focusing on Mixed-Use and Multi-family Developments and Acquisitions. Prior to joining Champion Real Estate Company, he held positions at CBRE in Los Angeles and Chatham Bay Group in Philadelphia. Cole holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Major’s in Finance and Marketing from University of Delaware and currently runs Patient 9 Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raise the awareness of Melanoma and Skin Cancer and fund future research.
